My main goal for this site is for it to function as an archive for all of my creative works. Throughout my adult life I've felt my inner self screaming to be more creative, but part of me has always neglected those feelings. Lately I've been inspired to create more, whether that's just making more creative decisions in my daily life or actually sitting down and getting through pieces of music, photography, and writing that have been stuck in my brain for years. While I'd love for any of these endeavors to be my job some day, I need to be able to make things without the influence of a client or algorithm. I desperately want to create art, not products. I've made enough products in my life.
This site is a small part within the larger indie net community. To me, the most important part of the indie net is that each site remains personal, experimental, creative, and free of corporate influence. The things I choose to put on this website are based 100% in my own tastes, decision making, and opinons. No matter what I put on this site, you are getting me, completely unfiltered.
While a single site like this one is unlikely to make any real change in the 2020s internet landscape, I truly believe that massive collective actions that push us towards self-hosted, personalized, and open-source sites can stop the snowball effect. The internet can be a place again, it just takes some effort.
